The Professional Association of Radio and Television has honored Oscar Martinez, host of Cadena Dial's Atrévete, with an Antena de Plata Award, given annually to the best media professionals. 2011's awards recognize work from 2010 and Oscar Martinez is joined by this year's other award winners Layla Jimenez, the Telecinco presenter, Dani Martinez from the program Tonterias las Justas, José Luis Uribarri and football club Rayo Vallecano in the sports category.

Oscar Martinez took over the reins of Atrévete on August 30, 2010. The Cadena Dial early morning show is broadcast Monday to Friday from 6am to 10am, and has a daily audience of 931,000 people, according to the latest EGM figures.

The Antena de Oro and Plata Awards were set up in 1962 and for 50 years the jury has been composed of professionals from the sector.

The awards ceremony will take place July 7 at 8pm at the Centro Cultural Eduardo Úrculo in Madrid.
