PRISA Radio reorganizes its structure in Chile with the appointment of Marcelo Zuñiga as President and Ricardo Berdicheski as managing director of Ibero Americana Radio Chile (IARC)

PRISA Radio’s Ibero Americana Radio Chile is radio market leader in Chile with 11 radio formats, 211 stations and 2.2 million listeners

In a move that will strengthen the undisputed lead enjoyed by Ibero Americana Radio Chile (IARC) in the Chilean radio market and that will consolidate its digital operations, PRISA Radio is reorganizing  IARC’s management structure with the appointment of Marcelo Zuñiga and Ricardo Berdicheski.

Marcelo Zúñiga has been appointed President of Ibero Americana Radio Chile. Zuñiga was till now managing director of IARC, and has a successful track record in radio and television. He was director of Radio Cooperativa for 18 years, and spearheaded important projects such as Rock & Pop and Corazón. He joined the team that founded Ibero Americana Radio Chile in 1998 as Operations Manager, overseeing musical and sales strategy, and was appointed managing director in 2002. Marcelo Zúñiga has consolidated the leadership of Ibero Americana Radio Chile and has positioned the company as the most prestigious radio consortium in Chile with 2.2 million listeners and 9.6 million unique users.

Ricardo Berdicheski, is replacing Marcelo Zúñiga as new managing director of IARC. He graduated in Law from the Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello and he holds an MBA from the Institute Executive Development. In 1998 he joined Claxson group as general secretary and lawyer. In 2005 he became executive director of Chilevisión and in 2009 he was named Chief Operating Officer of IARC. He has also been a permanent member of the legal committee of the National Association of Television, and Director of the Board for self-regulation and advertising ethics. The appointment of Ricardo Berdicheski is a recognition of his talent for successfully leading teams in the company and his solid vision of the company’s future.
