PRISA signs up to the UN Global Compact

23-12-2008

PRISA has shown its commitment to the respect and defense of human and labor rights, the environment and the fight against corruption by signing up to the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, as laid out by Kofi Annan in 1999. The initiative is aimed at encouraging businesses to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles.

Likewise, investors will find that PRISA is committed to socially responsible practices, as evidenced by the company's inclusion in the FTSE4GOOD Index Series, designed to measure the performance of companies that meet globally recognized corporate responsibility standards.

PRISA has been rated for six years running as one of the top 100 companies in terms of reputation in Spain, and enjoys the highest reputation in the media sector, according to Merco (Monitor Español de Reputación Corporativa).
