Smartlife: Cinco Días places all the latest technology at your fingertips

In partnership with ADSL Zone, business and finance daily CincoDías is launching Smartlife, a new website that will bring together all the latest news from the world of technology. The site aims to be practical in its approach, with news on and stories that readers can apply to their everyday lives. Smartlife focuses on people and has one, main goal: to be useful for readers and to involve them in all the changes and all the opportunities that technology can bring. The site has a very clear identity, and aims to keep readers constantly updated on the latest developments and to help them make informed and quick decisions when choosing from a vast array of products, apps, and so on.

 

In keeping with the philosophy of the new site, it is envisaged that it will be built and will be developed jointly between CincoDías, ADSL Zone and the users themselves, and there are a range of communication channels open to users (email, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+ ...) enabling “smartlifers” to comment and contribute to the site, making suggestions on what they’d like to see and so on.

 

Smartlife is integrated into the homepage of of CincoDías, and has a an independent design. It is organized into seven sections: Smartphones, Tablets, Gadgets, Lifestyle, Smart TV, Cars and SMEs. The site is responsive and is adapted for use across  multiple

platforms and screens.

 

Thus, depending on whether a reader chooses to access the site from a smartphone or a tablet, the content will be configured automatically adjusting the size of the device. “Thinking about the end user is a priority for CincoDías," explained Jorge Rivera, editor-in-chief of the newspaper. "Anything that can enhance the reading experience, ascertain users’ needs and then offer them what they want is crucial for us and will allow us to bring the high quality that is the hallmark of our newspaper to the digital world," added Rivera.

 

Smartlife will be constantly up to date on everything happening in the world of technology and will cover all the relevant events, launches and presentations. Given the nature of the sector and its consumers, one of the hallmarks of the new site will be its rapid response to developments, and there will be comparison engines, product testing, videos of launches and in-depth analysis. The site will also organize its own events and will hold contests with high-tech prizes.There will also be a weekly newsletter which will keep readers updated by email on the highlights from the site.
