The 58th annual Ondas Awards

The winners of the 58th Premios Ondas Awards, given by Cadena SER's Radio Barcelona, were announced on Tuesday. 'El Gallo Maximo', Dani Moreno's daily morning program on Máxima FM won in the category for Best Radio Show. The Best News Coverage award went to TVE's News Services. Juan Ramón Lucas, from radio channel RNE 1, shared the lifetime achievement award with Jordi Basté from RAC1. And Jordi Evole, in addition to his award for best television presenter, is also in the running for the Dewar's White Label Radio or TV Personality Award, voted each year by the public.

The Premios Ondas Awards jury singled out Spanish radio's weekend sports programming in the category of best program or coverage of an event. The awards recognize the work of national and international professionals across a number of fields: radio, television, advertising and music.

Television

The award for best entertainment program was won by the Antena 3 game show Atrapa un millon, while the award for best coverage went to TVE's News Services.

Best Male TV Presenter was won by Jordi Evole for Salvados (La Sexta) and Ana Rosa Quintana won Best Female Presenter for her Telecinco show.

'House' (Cuatro) won Best Foreign TV Series and 'Crematorio' (Canal +) won for Best National TV Series. Telecinco's miniseries on the the Madrid bombings of March 2004, 11-M, was also honored with an award in its category.

Emilio Gutiérrez Caba ('Gran Reserva', on TVE 1) and Blanca Suarez ('El Barco' on Antena 3) won best actor awards. 

Music

All the music awards categories were rolled into one this year and go to music legend Tony Bennett.

The Premios Ondas Awards gala ceremony will be held on November 30 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.

For the fourth consecutive year, during the awards gala, the Dewar's White Label Radio or TV Personality Award will be presented to the TV or radio celebrity to have garnered the most votes from members of the public. This year's nominees are:
