The work of Arturo Perez-Reverte in digital format

Three of Arturo Perez-Reverte's most iconic novels will go on sale in digital format on Friday, July 8. Captain Alatriste, The Queen of the South and The Siege will be sold as e-books at a price of 9.99 euros each.

These are first of Arturo Perez-Reverte's to be sold in digital format, an initiative of the author and the publisher Alfaguara aimed at providing easy, economical and legal access to the work of Perez-Reverte online. From next Friday, all three novels will be available via the 57 existing digital sales channels in Spain.

Captain Alatriste is the first book in the swashbuckling saga that follows the adventures of a veteran of the wars in Flanders, who gets by as a swordsman for hire in seventeenth-century Madrid. His dangerous and exciting adventures immerse the reader in the Court intrigues of a corrupt and decadent Spain. The Queen of the South is one of Arturo Perez-Reverte's best-selling novels and has been critically acclaimed by readers around the world. It has been translated into over 30 languages ​​and published in 50 countries. The Siege is his latest published novel, a story of love and intrigue set in Cadiz in 1812."It's my most technically complex work," says the author.

Arturo Perez-Reverte (Cartagena, 1951) was a war correspondent for 21 years and is author such novels as The Hussar, The Fencing Master, The Flanders Panel, The Club Dumas, Territorio Comanche, The Seville Communion, The Nautical Chart,  The Queen of the South, Cape Trafalgar, A Day of Anger, The Siege and the historical saga The Adventures of Captain Alatriste. He is a member of the Royal Spanish Academy. With over fifteen million books sold worldwide and translated into 34 languages, Arturo Perez-Reverte is one of the most prominent living writers on the literary scene.
