Cadena Dial brings the biggest Spanish-language music festival 'Lo mejor de Aquí y de Allí'

Radio network Cadena Dial announced at a press conference the lineup for Lo Mejor de Aquí y de Allí 2014 (TheBest of Here and There), the Spanish-language music festival that brings together the best from Spain and Latin America. The festival has already been held in a range of Spanish cities, and this year will be held in Seville on October 11. The festival has the backing and collaboration of the the regional Tourism and Trade Board of Andalusia and Seville’s City Hall. Pablo Alborán, Chayanne, David Bustamante, Carlos Rivera, Franco de Vita, Melendi, Merche, Maldita Nerea, Rozalén, Vanesa Martín, Amaia Montero, Axel, Efecto Mariposa, Dvicio and Tatishé head this year’s all-star lineup.

 

Attending the press conference to announce the event were Juan Carlos Chaves, Managing Director of Music Stations at PRISA Radio Spain; Antonio Yélamo, Regional Director of SER in Andalusia; Rafael Rodriguez Bermudez, Head of Tourism for the Andalusian regional authority; Juan Ignacio Zoido, Mayor of Seville; and Toni Pérez, Director of Social and Regional Development of the NGO 'Save the Children'.

According to Juan Carlos Chaves, "it is a pleasure to present in Seville  the biggest festival for music sung in Spanish to be held in our country. Seville is a majestic and iconic city and ideal for an event of this nature --  it’s a  city that can boast all the latest technology and infrastructure that might possibly be required." Chaves also promised that it would be a great show, bringing together artists and performers who have never before appeared together on one stage. "This year is set to go down in history," he added.

Antonio Yélamo said, that as an Andalusian, it was an honor and a pleasure to host the event in Seville. "Cadena Dial has a legion of fans in Andalusia and it is one of the most listened to stations. The event’s popularity is guaranteed because it is set to be broadcast by 1,090 stations in Spain, USA, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Colombia, Argentina and Chile, in addition to cadenadial.com and rebroadcast in prime time on TV 8 Andalucía ".

Rafael Rodriguez said "it is a pleasure to hold this event in Seville, giving Andalusia the chance to promote Spanish and Latin culture across borders.”

The Mayor of Sevilla, Juan Ignacio Zoido, thanked Cadena Dial for choosing the capital of Andalusia for the music event. "We couldn’t but be involved in this event, and I am delighted that it is to be held in Seville. I can assure you that Seville will not disappoint."

For Antonio Perez, "the celebration of this event is a perfect example of collaboration between performers, media, public and private institutions, and NGOs involved in fighting the problem of child poverty."

The performers present at the press conference were also eager to comment on this latest outing for 'The Best of Here and There'.

Carlos Rivera said he was thrilled to be on hand for the presentation of the event :"All of us artists always look forward to this event, as well as the Cadena Dial Awards.”

This is "an emotional moment to be shared with the other performers", said Merche of the 'Best of 2014 Here and There'.

Vanesa Martin took the opportunity to thank Cadena Dial, "which has always been committed to Spanish music."

The gala event, which will be presented by Jaime Cantizano and Carmen Ramirez, will take place on Saturday, October 11, at the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses of Seville (Fibes) at 7pm. Tickets go on sale this Friday, September 19, at www.entradas.com.

The proceeds from the gala "The Best of Here and There 2014 ', will go to programs run by the NGO Save the Children in Andalusia for children at risk of poverty and social exclusion.
