Daniel Anido is named head of Spoken-Word Content at Prisa Radio

Daniel Anido Diaz has been named Director of Spoken-Word Content at Prisa Radio. He has wide-ranging experience as a journalist and media professional and is set to make an enormous contribution to Prisa Radio, a global company. The company is committed to an ongoing standardization and modernization of radio content in Spain and Latin America.

Daniel Anido (Lugo, 1960) is a journalist and has spent most of his career at Cadena SER, where he has held various posts, first in news writing at Radio Bilbao and then as deputy director and director of News Services for the Channel in Madrid. He has held management posts at the regional stations in the Basque Country.

While Director of News Services at Cadena SER his team won two Ondas Awards for their coverage of the Prestige oil spill and the Madrid terror attacks

In 2004 he was appointed Director of Cadena SER and under his direction PRISA Radio has consolidated its absolute lead in Spain, 24 hours a day for all programs.

In 2010, Daniel Anido received the Jose Couso Freedom of Expression Award, given by the Valencia Journalists Union and the first ever IX Directo prize, given by the Press Association of Cadiz.

His functions at Cadena SER will be assumed directly by the Director General, Alejandro Nieto.
