Francisco Velez appointed Chief Operating Officer of PRISA Radio in Spain

Francisco Velez has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of PRISA Radio in Spain. Velez, who until now held the position of director of the Network of PRISA Radio Stations in Spain, has spent most of his professional life at SER and has a successful track record  in radio, as well as in management and finance.

The new Chief Operating Officer’, who will report to Managing Director of PRISA Radio Spain, will oversee the management of and relationships between stations, be they directly owned or partners and affiliates, and local advertising. His department is also responsible, alongside PBS, for the network’s advertising as well as the areas of administration, finance, systems, legal and HR.

Francisco Velez’s appointment was announced just after Vicente Jimenez was named new managing director of SER and PRISA Radio in Spain on February 27.
