PRISA Radio hosts the First International Flash Fiction Competition

The launch of the competition positions the radio group once again at the forefront of Spanish-language links between Spain and Latin America

PRISA Radio has launched the First International Competition for Flash Fiction through their spoken-word radio stations in Mexico ( W Radio ), Chile ( ADN Radio ) , Colombia (Caracol and W Radio ) , Argentina ( Continental), Costa Rica (ADN) , Panama ( Radio  Panama ) and Spain (Cadena SER) .Those wishing to participate have until October 20 through the sites of the different stations . The goal is to write a story ending with  the last the sentence used by Mario Vargas Llosa as he closes his latest novel The  Dicsreet Hero: "They had crossed through the clouds and everything inside the plane was bathed in bright sunshine".

Each radio station in the network will nominate a finalist to represent their country and a panel of leading figures from the world of literature will choose the winner for this first edition . The award consists of a cash prize of $ 3,000 and a set of books from Editorial Santillana.

With the First International Flash Fiction Competition, PRISA Radio is set to test the creativity and ingenuity of listeners and their skill at telling brief yet engaging stories in Spanish across two continents.
