10-10-2011

Prisa Digital, through Prisa Servicios Digitales, has been appointed as a member since September 2011 of the GT25, a working group on the technical committee to standardize corporate governance of ICT (ISO 38 500) and IT service management (ISO 20000).

Prisa Servicios Digitales, through its work on this committee and its contribution in terms of standardization, is thus set to become influential player in the setting of standards of management, "best practices" and governance of IT Service Management.

PRISA Digital's representative on the group, Guillermo López Moratinos, will work at a national level with other industry leaders in the on-going development of both these international standards, thus contributing to the international effort involving 37 countries to improve global standards. Current members of the GT25 include companies such as Indra, Microsoft, HP and Telefonica.

According to Luis Manuel García, director of Prisa Servicios Digitales (PSD), "The key to our work and our main goal is the transformation of our service model by applying international standards of management and principles of operational excellence; seeking the appropriate internal alignment and maximum commitment to our customers. "

An example of Prisa Servicios Digitales' commitment to the operational excellence of service will be seen on October 24-25 at the Annual itSMF Congress in Madrid, where they will give the talk "A case study in the transition of service model, based on UNE-ISO/IEC 20000 and Lean IT principles. " This will look at how the introduction of these standards constitutes the foundation and basis for the application of Lean IT, a management methodology for continuous improvement to achieve operational excellence.
