The 40 Principales' latest hit in the heart of Madrid

20-09-2011

40 Café has thrown open its doors in the very heart of Madrid's bustling avenue Gran Vía. It's set to become the hottest spot in town for food, music, live radio and design - all brought together to create one extraordinary space. September 21 sees the launch, with the doors opening to the public on the 22nd.

40 Café is the result of a collaborative effort between Top 40 radio network Los 40 Principales, which is market leader in nine countries and boasts more than 6 million listeners, and Grupo Millenium de Restauración, with a track record of 20 years in Spain that has seen the company rise to ever greater challenges. With this venture, Spain's leading music channel  can finally be proud to have a place of its own beyond the airwaves. The dramatic space, designed  by Thomas Alia, will house a radio studio, a stage for live performances, a 40 Café merchandising store and Europe's largest cocktail bar, as well as a menu prepared by renowned food consultant Javier Bonet, which brings together four types of cuisine: Spanish, Asian, American / Mexican and Italian.

40 Café is targeted at a young crowd, though here youth is understood a way of being and living rather than a physical age. 40 Café is set to be the place where image and music take center stage right on Madrid's legendary  Gran Vía.
