PRISA's revenues, EBITDA and digital businesses enjoy continued growth in the first half of the year

  • Between January and June, the Group posted revenues of EUR 388.2 million, a 26.8% increase compared to the first two quarters of 2021 (+6.3% PRISA Media and +53.7% Santillana).
  • The Group's EBITDA, excluding severance payouts, has climbed by a factor of 2.8, reaching 49.7 million in the first half of the year.
  • Digital business continues to grow, with digital revenues now accounting for 35% of the Group’s total.
  • Santillana has nearly 2.5 million subscription-model students in Latin America (+33.3% compared to June 2021)
  • EL PAÍS reaches 219,832 subscribers, of whom 179,626 are exclusively digital (+65% compared to June of 2021). It clocked up 79 million streaming hours (+19%) and 47.5 million podcast downloads (+51%).
  • As of June 30, the company's cash balance was EUR 126 million euros, with a further EUR 103 million in restricted cash
  • The Group reported a negative net result of EUR 14 million, which represents an improvement of 75.1% when compared to the 56.2 million loss seen in the first half of 2021.
