Ovidio Ramón, new CEO of Cinco Dias

Ovidio Ramón Cecos (León, 1960) has been appointed CEO of Cinco Dias. Since November 2011, he has worked as CEO at the group’s magazines division Prisa Revistas, a position he will continue to hold. Ovidio Ramón has worked at Prisa throughout much of his successful career. He was Chief Operating Officer of GMI and was general manager of RedPrensa, the PRISA distribution company, for seven years. Previously, he worked at the newspaper EL PAIS, which he joined in 1989 and where he headed the Administration department.

Ovidio Ramon began his career as a consultant in Arthur Andersen, where he spent three years working with a number of media companies, including PRISA and RTVE. He has a degree in Business and Law, and also has studied at the IESE Business School, where he studied the Senior Management Program (PADE).
